I have been guiding private tours of the temples and country side floating village of Siem Reap for over 9 years, and I love it! It is exciting to inform others about the intricate carvings on temple walls and the history of the kings and culture daily life of ancient Cambodia today. Tour guide services/sample itinerary:
Start the tour with a trip to watch the sunrise at Angkor Wat. Tour the buildings and see the intricate murals around this beautiful temple. Move on to the nearby Angkor Thom to see the Bayon temple, Baphon temple, Elephant terrrace, and the Leopard King terrace. Visit the Royal Palace, and then stop for lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the famous Ta Prohm, featured in many Hollywood movies for the large cotton silk trees growing throug the walls of the temple. Optionally, finish the day watching the sunset at Phnom Bakeng temple.
This is just a one-day sample tour - your private tour can be customized according to your wishes, for example to include such beautiful sights as the temples of Banteay Srei, the floating village of Kompong Phluk, the School of Art, and more.
Transportation can be arranged upon request, in an air conditioned car or van. Ice cold water, soft drinks and refreshing towels are provided to keep you hydrated and cool between stops at the temples.
